What is a Vignette?
A Vignette is probably my most used effect for photos. It adds an artistic flare to edges of photos. This can be done either with lighting when you take a picture, or with software like I use, Photoshop. Here is an example of what the vignette photo filter can do:
The one on the left has the vignette added, and gives the subject more emphasis, and the background less emphasis. This is helpful when you have a background with a lot of color, or is competing with the subject.
